Our farm was
put together by Janet's grand parents before and
during the Great Depression. They managed to raise
five boys on the farm. Along with crops there were
always cattle, sheep, hogs and chickens.
We spent the first years cleaning and clearing more
pasture while maintaining a herd of Wye based
commercial cattle. We then made a decision to go
forward in the Registered Black Angus Business. With
the help on our friends Richard McClung at Wehrmann
Angus and Mark Gardiner at Gardiner we purchased a
base of cows to build a heard around. Since that
time we have steadily increased our owned/leased
grass land to 450 acres.
